California’s Universal Health Care Explained | Sally Pipes
A number of California legislatures had been pushing for a universal health care system, in which everyone will be insured and the whole health care system will operate under the state government.
The proponents of this bill argue that health care would become cheaper and more accessible. However, the critics of the bill are concerned the service will become DMV with ration care and create significant tax increases for businesses, which will cause more businesses to leave California.
My guest is Sally Pipes, president, CEO, and Thomas Smith Fellow in Health Care Policy at the Pacific Research Institute.
She explains how universal health care works and its impact on patients and businesses that fund the system.
