With jury selection underway on Monday in former President Donald Trump’s historic criminal trial in New York, a key question arises: Will it be possible to pick a fair jury in the Democratic stronghold? NTD contributor Mike Leon, the director of policy and strategy at the Free and Equal Elections Foundation and host of the “Can We Please Talk?” news commentary podcast breaks down the make-up of the New York jury pool.

Mr. Leon says a lot is riding against Trump there, considering the margin of his loss in 2016 in New York City and the fact that there are more registered Democrats than Republicans in the jurisdiction. However, he believes the trial against the former president is weak, and is unlikely to sway U.S. voters significantly.
