Prosecution Working to Corner Trump Defense Team, Underscore Cohen’s Credibility, Cut Off Escape Routes in NY Case: Lawyer

Former President Donald Trump’s criminal trial over alleged falsification of business records surrounding alleged “hush money” payments is now in its fourth week. According to Jeremy Rosenthal, a trial attorney and the founder of TexasDefenseFirm.com, the prosecution is working meticulously, trying to corner President Trump’s legal team, and attempting establish the credibility of fixer Michael Cohen so that when he takes the stand, “the jury is going to have to believe him.”

Mr. Rosenthal suggests the prosecution is also working to wall off escape routes—such as that the Trump Organization is very large, and that President Trump himself can’t be responsible for everything—by showing that President Trump did reject some checks for amounts in excess of $10,000.
