From March 14 to 17, Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage at the Rosemont Theater in Rosemont, Illinois. The five performances mesmerized audiences with their artistry and cultural richness.

Among the attendees was Paige Cunningham, Trustee of Taylor University, who attended the performance with her husband. Cunningham expressed her enchantment, stating, “Mesmerized, very attracted.”

Dr. Sergey Furmanov, a physician at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, attended Shen Yun with his wife and daughter and was blown away by the experience. He commented: “It’s phenomenal. The highest standards of classical dance, probably folk dance that I’ve never seen Chinese dance before.”

Lou Costabile, president of CFO MasterMind Group, echoed similar sentiments, remarking: “I thought the show was fantastic. The dancers were unbelievable. I loved how they could hold poses for lengths of time and their flexibility. And just a fantastic show to see.”

Shen Yun features a live orchestra that combines both traditional Chinese and Western instruments.

Paige Cunningham reiterated the sentiment, expressing: “I also really liked having live orchestra; we get really tired of performances to soundtracks. So, I liked the integration of the Western orchestra with the Eastern instruments and voices.”

Norma Zambrano, vice president/banker associate of Citi Private Bank Law Firm Group, found the music particularly compelling, noting: “I especially like the music. I think it tells a story. And that was what was the most impressive for me.”

Shen Yun‘s mission to revive traditional Chinese culture deeply resonated with theatergoers, saying they felt a spiritual connection with the performance.

Wally Zambrano, president of Revelation Kingdom Inc., reflected on the ephemeral nature of existence and the enduring power of the divine, expressing: “The physical things in this life are temporary. And that was expressed very well in there: that the divine is much more stronger, that’s the natural energy and the power within our universe today. So that was a great message. And you could feel that.”

Jerry Croft, CEO of EcoFocus Worldwide, said, “I just felt like there was a higher purpose, a message about, that there is a God, and that’s important for us to understand that.”
