A MERS outbreak occurred in a hospital in Saudi Arabia. The outbreak infected 10 people. It occurred in the haemodialysis unit.

MERS is considered related to SARS, the outbreak that spread through China starting in 2003. MERS emerged in 2012 and has since infected 1,935 people. Six hundred ninety people have died.
