Ten Taiwanese military officers were indicted for treason on Monday after the current and former officials were caught spying for Beijing.

According to Taiwan’s high prosecutors’ office, three of them allegedly recruited active-duty troops to collect information and “develop a network for China.”

Four of those recruits allegedly handed over “multiple items of military secrets” to Beijing for money.

Another reportedly stole military secrets from his place of work.

Two others were accused of filming a “psychological warfare” video for the Chinese Communist Party. In the video, they pledge to “surrender to the People’s Liberation Army”—the formal name of Beijing’s military.

Tensions between Taiwan and China are at record heights with the island under the looming threat of a Beijing invasion.

The CCP has never ruled Taiwan.
