100 Percent Tariffs on Chinese Cars Made in Mexico Would Be Extraordinary but Make Sense: Economic Analyst

Former President Donald Trump is threatening 100 percent tariffs on Chinese cars made in Mexico. This comes as Chinese automakers open factories in Mexico and enjoy the benefits of the United States–Mexico–Canada trade agreement. Economic analyst and supply chain consultant Jim Nelles says such tariffs are extraordinary but make sense given how Chinese carmakers are taking advantage of U.S. trade policy.
