101-year-old Indian athlete wins gold medal at World Masters Games

One-hundred-one-year-old Indian athlete Man Kaur took home a gold medal for the 100 meter sprint at the World Masters Games in Auckland, New Zealand on April 24.

Kaur was the only competitor in the 100+ age category. She finished her one woman race at 1 minute 14.58 seconds. The crowd greeted her with cheers.

“I bring a happiness with me, I run, walk, cook. I am full of joy,” said the athlete from Chandigarh, Punjab. “While I am still alive I am going to keep rocking.”
