Three people in Georgia were arrested after children were found with flea bites in a home in Riverdale.

Police officers and officers with the sheriff’s office were serving a warrant at a home on Fairway Pointe Drive when they noticed four children between the ages of 4 and 7 with flea bites.

“Deputies were told that the bites were from mosquitos, but the deputies and officers determined they actually were from fleas,” according to a release from the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.

Workers with the Department of Family and Children Services were called to take custody of the children.

Nicole Tarney Hunter, 26, Chantrell Marlon Mitchell, 33, and Michael Gamal Mitchell, 58, were arrested and taken to jail.
