Personally I always admired street performers for their forbearance and patience. Buskers often don’t have scheduled performance times and wait all day for someone to come – like the man showed in the video. Or they perform for prolonged periods of time with no guarantee of an audience showing up. This trait of endurance is something to be admired. Every artist has it, because art requires a lot of effort for long periods of time.
So why do artists do all this? For money? It’s one reason. But artists most of all want to touch our hearts, and speak to our souls. Some manage to do it in a grand way. After their performances we cry, feel lighter and reflect on our life or values. Less skilled artists also can touch us in some way. They make us smile or just uplift our mood.
