A massive car crash on Interstate 94 in Van Buren County, Michigan, involved 32 vehicles, according to local reports.
The crash took place at 9:15 a.m. local time on Thursday, Dec. 7, WOOD-TV reported.

Michigan State Police Lt. Dale Hintz told the station that a car slid off the road and other vehicles were going too fast and started crashing into one another.
Several people needed to be freed from the wreckage, he said.

The roadway reopened at around 11 a.m. after it was closed for more than an hour.
There were 21 crashes reported in the area between 6 a.m. and noon this Thursday, likely due to the weather conditions, reported Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke.
“We had a 20-car accident at M-40 westbound at 8:50 a.m.,” said First Lt. Chuck Christensen of the Michigan State Police, MLive reported. “After that, on the on-ramp westbound at the 60 mile marker, 10 more vehicles crashed. And then after that, we had eight other separate crashes — all of those were westbound.”
