This is not the first project of its kind by Stefano Boeri, an Italian architect. The innovative man with a fondness for greenery entwined architecture built his first two-tower, 112m (384ft) buildings in Milan. This 36-story evergreen-embodied apartment building, “La Tour des Cedres” (The Tower of Cedars), was built in Lausanne, Switzerland. It’s the first building in the world to be covered in evergreen trees.

The trees provide more than aesthetic beauty to the building. Covering over 3,000 square meters of space, 18,000 plants, 100 trees, and 6,000 shrubs, they also provide protection for the building and its inhabitants from city noise, the wind, and dust. The view is spectacular!
