Skin care routines will not give you an overnight solution to your skin problems. To achieve your dream skin, you need discipline, patience and persistence.

You can make this anti-aging skincare routine at home:

Do you really know what texture means when it comes to skin? The word texture means the feel, appearance or consistency of a surface or substance. So skin texture actually means all of the above.

Ice pick scars are the main concerns for most people, they are the aftermath of acne, alongside enlarged pores on and around the nose. With aging, the skin will also lack elasticity.

Below are some tips and tricks on how to improve your skin texture:

1. Exfoliation

Exfoliation is your number one solution to getting smooth skin. Removing the layers of dead skin cells will minimize the bumpiness on the skin, preventing you from having clogged pores. It doesn’t matter if you have oily, dry or combination skin, you have to remove that layer to reveal the bright new skin underneath.

There are chemical and physical exfoliators. Chemical exfoliators include AHA/BHA scrubs, or glycolic ones. You leave these on and let the chemical do the work of eating away the dead skin cells. Physical scrubs are ones where you can feel the actual granules or beads, and you literally scrubbing the dead skin off your face.

There are benefits to both and you can switch it up depending on the current state of your skin. The Belle Bar Oolong Tea Scrub is recommended for use at least once a week, especially if you wear a ton of makeup!

2. Treatment

There are many kinds of treatments, from passive to aggressive ones. Passive ones include products such as retinol peels, they’re similar to a scrub that helps to remove layers of skin, eventually smoothing out the bumps. Aggressive treatments include laser or skin needling — no need to go to that extreme unless your skin is that extreme! If you feel like you need aggressive, go for it. Always try the more natural and safe option first.

You can use the PCA retinol at night and get a microdermabrasion once in a while, as needed.

3. Moisturize

70% of our body is made of H2O and our bodies need water to keep up with all the functions. If you deprive your body of water, bad things will happen. Besides drinking water, you also need to put moisture your skin. The skin is the largest organ on your body but it is actually the last to receive nutrients. Put moisturizers on regularly since your skin will be crying for nutrients once you’ve removed all the dead skin cells.

If you have acne, you’re most likely to be using a ton of products that is drying out your skin, make sure you remember to put moisture back into your skin.

4. Conceal

Makeup is going to help you cover up but it’s just a temporary fix. Skincare is the only thing that is going to transform your skin. Do not solely rely on using makeup, nevertheless, it can truly make a difference in the appearance of the skin texture.

Use primers with a silicone base to help fill in the holes on your face so you can apply foundation on a smoother surface. Using a sponge is going to be better than a brush, since you are patting on the product and not brushing it back and forth. People tend to pack on the foundation when the skin texture is bumpy, but in fact, it’s better to just use one layer of foundation and spot conceal with a concealer in the areas where you need. Then, apply a HD micronized powder with a powder puff to seal the deal and set the base. This will make your skin appear more soft and plump.
