4-Ingredient DIY lip balms you can make at home

Whether you just have naturally dry lips, or because it’s the change of season, chapped lips are not cute! So we’ve put together 3 totally natural (and delicious) lip balms you can make at home. The best thing is you only need two main ingredients, so check out how below!

What you’ll need:
Lip container (or anything to store your lip balms)

Base ingredients:
Coconut oil
Beeswax pellets (for firmer consistency)

Raspberry & Mint

Ingredients:
3 drops of peppermint oil
3-5 edible mints
1 tbsp beeswax pellets
2 tbsp coconut oil

Instructions:
Crush the raspberries and mint in a mortar and pestle or blender until you have a very fine powder
On a saucepan, add coconut oil and beeswax to a pyrex cup (or any heat proof bowl) in a water bath until the both are completely melted
Take off the heat
In a separate bowl, add ground raspberries and mint to the coconut oil and beeswax and stir thoroughly
Transfer to container with lid and let sit to harden
Apply to lips!

Rose & Coconut

This one’s a little romantic 😉

Ingredients:
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp beeswax pellets
Rose petals (fresh or dried)
2-3 drops rose essence

Instructions:
Crush the rose petals and dessicated coconut
In a pyrex cup on top of saucepan with water, heat coconut oil and beeswax on high heat until completely melted together
In a separate bowl, mix 1 tbsp of the rose and coconut mixture with the coconut oil and beeswax until well blended
Scoop into containers and let it set
Apply to lips!

Lime & Mint

Something a little minty fresh 🙂

Ingredients:
1 tsp lime juice
3-5 edible mints
3 drops peppermint oil
1 tbsp beeswax
2 tbsp coconut oil

Instruction:
Crush the mints into a fine powder
Add coconut oil and beeswax to a pyrex in a water bath and melt on high heat until combined
Remove from heat
In a separate bowl add the mint, coconut oil, beeswax and peppermint oil and stir
Pour into containers and let it cool
Apply to lips!
