Los Angeles celebrated a movie, dedicating April 25,  “La La Land” Day. The Oscar-winning film takes place in Los Angeles. It arrived in theaters late last year, leading to an Oscar award.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, presented a framed declaration to writer and director Damien Chazelle.

“It is my pleasure to declare today, and I’m going to ask Damien Chazelle to come forward, to declare today, in the city of Los Angeles, ‘La La Land’ Day,” said L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti.

The mayor then sat down with the band to help with the musical side of the celebration of this movie.
