Mr. Wu Yulu, 48, from the outskirts of Beijing is a very skilled person.

His unusual hobby of making robots forced him into heavy debt and also posed a great risk to his marriage — but he never gave up.

He started his hobby in 1986 and has continued to build robots in his backyard with scrap metal. So far, he has built a total of 47 robots.  They can perform a variety of functions including jumping, painting, drinking and pulling carts.

In 2010, he was invited to exhibit 30 of his robots at a Shanghai Expo and he has gained worldwide fame as a result.
