Hot air balloons can be seen flying from England to France across the English Channel. Eighty-five balloons are in the air in an attempt to break the world record for most balloons crossing the famous channel. The previous record was set in 2011, with 49 balloons.
The first time a balloon ever crossed the channel was in 1785, when Frenchman Jean-Pierre François Blanchard and American doctor John Jeffries went up together.
