$880 Billion Defense Bill Ramps Up Spending, Renews Focus on Potential China Conflict

The United States’ annual defense spending bill passed this week, and it mandates several significant reports and actions.

We take a look at what’s in the bill with retired U.S. army Col. John Mills, who’s also a former director of cybersecurity policy at the Department of Defense and the author of the book “The Nation Will Follow.”

Regarding a potential future conflict with China, he said: “I think we need to think about it in the next couple of years, not 2030, not 2032.”

“We need to move faster.”
