95-Year-Old Hollywood Legend Is Alleged Victim of ‘Elder Abuse’ — But Then He Speaks Out

In a video, Stan Lee denied recent reports alleging he is the victim of elder abuse.

The Marvel Comics icon also threatened to take legal action against outlets circulating the claims.

On Tuesday, the Hollywood Reporter published a piece saying that he received physical and psychological abuse by his daughter and that three men, including Keya Morgan—his caregiver—have tried to take advantage of his daughter to “gain control” over his assets. The New York Daily News reported that he’s worth between $50 million and $70 million.

In a new video, Lee spoke on behalf of himself and Morgan disclaiming the allegations.

He refers to the elder abuse claims as “hateful and harmful” and “totally based on slander.”

According to TMZ, Lee issued a statement in a video, saying: “Hi, this is Stan Lee and I’m calling on behalf of myself and my friend Keya Morgan. Now, you people have been publishing the most hateful, harmful material about me and about my friend Keya and some others. Material which is totally incorrect, totally based on slander, totally the type of thing that I’m going to sue your [expletive] off when I get a chance.”

“You have been accusing me and my friends of doing things that are so unrealistic and unbelievable that I don’t know what to say,” the “Spider-Man” co-creator stated.

“It’s as though you suddenly have a personal vendetta against me and against the people I work with. Well I want you to know I’m going to spend every penny I have to put a stop to this and to make you sorry that you’ve suddenly gone on one-man campaign against somebody with no proof, no evidence, no anything but you’ve decided that people were mistreating me and therefore you are going to publish those articles,” Lee added.
