A city in Poland won’t let you paint bold anymore

Buildings are too colorful in this city. The art has gotten out of control in Dabrowa Gornicza, Poland.

Much of this outside artistry looks ugly, according to some.

Architect Wlodzimierz Wasilewski shared his thoughts, “Investors have allowed them to go a little bit crazy, so they have got carried away by their imagination.”

The authorities are now regulating what shades of paint are allowed.

Marcin Bazylak, vice president of Dabrowa Gornicza, explained the rules, “We have introduced a new regulation that 80 percent of facades should be white or grey. We only allow for 20 percent to be color.”

Hopefully the new rules can tone down the city landscape.
