FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The New Canaan Police with the assistance of the Connecticut State Police are continuing their efforts and investigation to locate Jennifer Dulos, age 50. Jennifer was last seen on Friday May 24th, 2019 in New Canaan operating a 2017 black Chevrolet Suburban. We are asking anyone who had contact with Jennifer Dulos on Friday May 24th, 2019 or has information regarding her disappearance to call the New Canaan Police Tip Line at 203-594-3544. The vehicle pictured is not the exact vehicle driven by Dulos but the same make, model and color.
One friend last had contact with Dulos earlier in the day after she dropped her children off at school, police said. The children are safe and well-cared for, family spokeswoman Carrie Luft said.
“Jennifer, we love you and we miss you, and we remain hopeful that you will return to us safe and sound,” Luft said.
Police searched her home and later located the vehicle she had been driving near Waveny Park. But they did not find Dulos and have since worked with Connecticut State Police and with assistance from federal law enforcement to locate her.
“This investigation is being treated as a missing person case, but as with any missing person case, a criminal investigation is being conducted concurrently to determine if Jennifer was the victim [of] foul play or intentional harm,” police said.
On Wednesday, police said they searched the area near Waveny Park with ground units, a drone and an aviation unit from the New York State Police.
A statement from her family and friends to CNN affiliate WTIC said they were hopeful she would still be found. The statement described her as a slender, 5-foot-7 woman with a soft voice, dark brown eyes and shoulder-length brown hair.
