Lalita accidentally called Rahul Kumar one day. That phone call led to more phone conversations, and ultimately led to a marriage proposal. Groom Rahul stated that is was her honesty that won him over.
The marriage ceremony was also attended by Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi. Members of an NGO that helped Lalita through her 17 surgeries were also in attendance.
