Police have responded to reports of an active shooter outside a middle school in Southeast Dallas.
The calls came in from the E. B. Comstock Middle School just after 11 a.m. Friday morning.
Sources told ABC affiliate WFAA, that there was no indication shots were fired.
A Dallas school district officer arrested a man with a gun. According to police, the man is a relative of a student at the school who had been in a fight yesterday.
As of 1 p.m., the middle school is no longer in lockdown, the Dallas Morning News reported.
Update: Dallas ISD spokesperson reports that no shots were fired and no weapon was found. Police have a person in custody but it is not a student. Comstock Middle School is no longer in lockdown.

According to WFAA reporter, Rebecca Lopez, the incident stemmed from an ongoing dispute with students. An unidentified woman was also seen handcuffed in a squad car, according to an updated Friday 1.p.m tweet.
It’s unclear what the woman’s connection to the incident is, as of writing.

“People are crying outside school. Parents on edge after recent school shootings,” Lopez tweeted.
There has been no word yet of any injuries. According to FOX29, there were no ambulances at the scene.

Initially, parents and students said that shots were fired, according to Rachel Hackbarth, a reporter for CBS 11. But this has not been confirmed.

Some parents outside the school were demanding answers after being concerned about the police activity.
Just weeks ago 17 people were killed in a shooting at a Florida high school.
