Visitors flocked to the Jimmy Carter Presidential Museum and Library in Atlanta on Monday to pay their respects to former first lady Rosalynn Carter.

Mrs. Carter passed away on Sunday at the age of 96. The Carter Center said she died after suffering with dementia and many months of declining health. She was a strong advocate for human rights and mental health initiatives, and was an ardent supporter of her husband, former President Jimmy Carter.
