The advocacy group, UltraViolet, is calling on the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to cancel its upcoming 2020 presidential debate on MSNBC.

The advocacy group protested because NBC would not open a new investigation into the former “Today” show host Matt Lauer, who was fired in 2017 for sexual misconduct allegations.

The protests also came amid the release of Ronan Farrow’s new book “Catch and Kill.” The book details a number of allegations of sexual harassment and abuse within the network that led to Lauer’s firing in 2017.

The protesters want executives at the company to be fired for what they call “enabling” abusers.

The group is also calling for NBC to end non-disclosure agreements in employee contracts, and implement sexual harassment training within the company to ensure the safety of all employees.
