Aerospace and defence company Rolls-Royce has reported a 4 billion pound ($5.6 billion) loss for 2020 as the jet engine maker’s business was shaken by the pandemic. The company’s model of charging airlines for the number of hours its engines fly meant much of its income dried up last year when travel stopped.
Its CEO says the worst is over.
