Airplane travel has one of the lowest probabilities for any accident. Yet if there is an accident, most of the cases we hear of end in quite some catastrophe. Here is a case in this video where an airplane made it out of a dangerous situation with nobody injured. All that the people on the airplane could witness was a normal take-off, an announcement that they are going to turn right back and land, and an almost normal landing.
Still, it was more than enough to make people fear for their safety on board. And indeed, the right engine caught fire as soon as the plane touched the ground again – having safely landed. With a lot of help from the ground fire department, any danger could be resolved in a matter of a few minutes. In the end, everybody got away unscathed – except for the shock – all thanks to the pilot who reacted in the best possible way on the warning sign about an engine oil warning message that he could see flashing.
