Among the Israeli Military’s main objectives is the capture of Al-Shifa Hospital.
The largest hospital in Gaza, and one of the very few still standing. Over 2,000 injured Gazans inside, despite a bed capacity of only 700. And over 50,000 Gazans sheltering there, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.
“Underneath the Al Shifa Hospital is the Hamas command center. It is several stories deep. We believe that there could be Israeli hostages held there. We believe that there is fuel that’s been diverted there. We believe there are rockets down there,” Jonathan Schanzer from the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, said.
