Humza Yousaf formally became Scotland’s first minister on March 28 after narrowly winning the SNP leadership contest. The 37-year-old has replaced Nicola Sturgeon as party leader. NTD spoke to former Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond, who’s now leader of the Alba Party, for his thoughts on what Yousaf’s victory means for Scotland.
