A suspected burglar cut himself as he was illegally entering an El Paso home in Texas. He bled to death on the floor of the house he allegedly planned to rob.

According to a City of El Paso press release, 28-year-old Javier Tellez Jr. broke a window to gain entry to a house on the 3000 block of Copper Street, near Memorial Park.

Apparently Tellez gashed his upper arm severely while climbing through the window.

Tellez was unable to stop the bleeding. He passed out and died on the floor inside the home.

The owner came home to find the broken window and blood, and called police around 5:22 p.m. on Nov. 6.

Authorities say an investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
