Internet video uploaded on Tuesday, April 4, purports to show the effects of a gas attack on a rebel-held region of Syria.

The video was uploaded by members of the volunteer Syrian Civil Defense, known as the “ Helmets.

In the video, White Helmets are spraying water on people supposedly injured by some chemical agent.

British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the suspected gas attack killed 58, including 11 children.

They claimed the attack caused people to choke and pass out, and some foamed at the mouth, which medical personnel said were possible symptoms of a poison-gas attack.

They claim the attack was carried out by the Syrian government or Russian jets.

The use of poison gas as a weapon of war is banned around the world.

The attack hit the town of Khan Sheikhoun in rebel-held Idlib Province.

A Syrian military source strongly denied the army had used any chemical weapons.
