Ambassador Haley waiting for ‘evidence’ and ‘proof’ on Trump-Comey conversation

U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley said on May 17 that she is waiting to see proof about reports on President Trump.

Reports had claimed the president tried to interfere with a federal investigation, based on a memo by former FBI chief James Comey.

“Well honestly what I’ve seen is just a lot of hearsay and I’m waiting to see evidence and proof. And I think that’s what everyone wants to see, is if there’s something there, show it. But right now, you know, for all of us, none of us were there, none of us were in the room, none of us knows what’s real and what’s not real. And so I think that now is the time for evidence, and then decisions can happen after that, but really right now, it’s just a lot of swirling rumors and it’s hard to decipher what’s real and what’s not,” said Haley.

The reports alleged that Trump asked Comey to end a probe into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s ties with Russia.
