Authorities in Idaho are searching for two missing brothers who haven't been seen for nearly a week. They were last seen in Rathdrum on May 31, according to authorities.
An Amber Alert was activated Thursday afternoon for one of the boys, identified as 6-year-old Leo Hiibel, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. The boy is reported to be in imminent danger.
The mother of the children, 35-year-old Mimi Hiibel, is believed to have abducted Leo after having recently lost custody of the boy. Authorities haven't released any details as to why she lost her parental rights.
Leo's 17-year-old brother, Gene Heckman is also reported missing, a Rathdrum Police Department officials said in a statement.

Leo and Gene were last seen around 8:00 a.m. at a Rathdrum local store called, "Super 1 Foods," on Sunday, according to police.
Officials said that if anyone sees either of the boys or the mother, they should not approach them and should immediately contact law enforcement.
Gene is described as a white male with light brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. Gene was last seen wearing blue jeans and a tan-colored "Carhart" style jacket.
The boys' mother, Mimi Hiibel, is white with brown hair and green eyes. She is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 145 pounds. According to police she has a tattoo on the back of her left hand, near her thumb.

Officials said the reported vehicle Mimi is driving is a black 2012 4-door Nissan with Idaho license plate number K616700.
No details regarding the direction of travel were provided, but authorities said the three are possibly heading to Oklahoma or Nevada.
The Rathdrum Police Department is urging anyone with information about them, or who have recently seen them, to contact the department at 208-687-0711 or via email.
