The surge of illegal immigrants at the Lukeville, Arizona border crossing completely overwhelmed border patrol facilities there. The numbers involved overpowered the crossing’s capacity to such an extent that border security personnel are sending illegal immigrants to Tucson for processing.
So what happens when border agents are overwhelmed like this? Can there be proper vetting of immigrants before their release into the United States?
