Major U.S. airstrikes were carried out over the weekend against Iran-backed groups in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen. The strikes were made in retaliation to last week’s drone attack on a U.S. Military base in Jordan, which killed three U.S. service members and wounded over 40 others.
NTD spoke to Justin Logan, the director of defense and foreign policy studies at the Cato Institute. Mr. Logan provided insights and analysis on the retaliatory strikes and their possible impact on the volatile situation in the Middle East—as well as a number of reasons why, he says, criticism of the Biden administration’s policies in the region is justified.
