Animated 3-D, strobe lit, sculptures transform to make any shape imaginable

Can you imagine sculptures transforming into different shapes, for instance: blossoming flowers, nests, baskets, or anything else you can imagine? Here you have “Blooms.”

“Blooms” are 3-D printed sculptures designed to be lit by a strobe light, and animated while spinning.

Unlike a traditional 3-D zoetrope, which animates changes in multiple objects, a bloom animates as a single coherent sculpture. The rotation speed and angles have been carefully designed by the inventor, John Edmark.

The sculptures will be transformed into a variety of shapes and objects, some even without names. Use your imagination and enjoy this amazing video of some unique animation.
