The AP preseason Top 25 poll was released and two-time defending champion Georgia was number one.

Now no team has won three straight national titles, since the advent of the AP poll, all the way back in 1936. The Bulldogs—who’ve won 17 straight games overall—have had 25 players drafted over the past two years—including eight in the first round alone. They’ll also have to replace quarterback Stetson Bennett—who was 4th in the Heisman voting last year.

Now behind Georgia was Michigan—with their highest preseason ranking in more than three decades. They’re followed by rival Ohio State, and then SEC powers Alabama and LSU. For the Tide, the number four preseason ranking is their lowest since 2009.

Returning to the list: USC is at number six. The Trojans return Heisman-winning quarterback Caleb Williams, in what will be their final season in the Pac-12. They’re followed by Penn State, Florida State, Clemson, and finally Washington at number ten.
