Baoding and Zhuozhou, two small cities to the south of Beijing, were both engulfed by record flooding since late July when Typhoon Doksuri roared into China.
More than a million people have been displaced, while full fatality counts remain unclear.
Leaked documents obtained by the Chinese edition of NTD’s sister media, The Epoch Times, suggest the region has taken more than its fair share of the flood water, hinting at a deliberate “sacrifice” strategy from the Chinese regime used to protect the country’s capital.
