Fred Grooms III, a football player in the ninth grade, entered the field for a coin toss at the beginning of the game. At that point, one of the referees removed his mask, and it was none other than his father, Maj. Fred Grooms Jr., who had been serving overseas for the United States Army for a year, and wanted to surprise his son!
