Heavy rain brought on by a cyclone is drenching Sri Lanka, an island nation southeast of India.
At least 69 people have died from lightning or drowning. The number of missing is as yet unknown.
Floodwaters several feet deep have isolated many people on hilltops.
Half a million Sri Lankans have been affected.
Sri Lanka called for international aid on May 28. The government sought helicopters for search and rescue and to deliver supplies.
This is the worst disaster to hit the island nation since the 2004 tsunami.
