Defense lawyer David Kallman on Aug. 8 filed a subpoena against Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Whitmer filed a restraining order against two county prosecutors to prevent them from enforcing an existing state statute prohibiting abortions. Kallman says the governor claims she would be irreparably harmed if the existing state law is enforced, and he wants her to testify how exactly she would be personally harmed.
