A mattress flew into a motorcyclist in Queensland, Australia. The cyclist was riding through a tunnel when a mattress flew off a truck and into him at 50 mph (80 km/h) (). It then landed under his wheel, getting caught in the assembly. He was unable to move.

Two people in a car behind him helped him dislodge the mattress and move it to the side of the road. Traffic was forced to use the adjacent lane during the incident. The cyclist left the scene with only a minor hand injury.
