Blistering conditions have left many Australians hot and bothered, but it seems the police force can see the lighter side of things.
With temperatures hitting 46 degrees in Birdsville in the southwest of Queensland on Saturday, police in the Outback town decided to put the heat to the test.
Leaving a pan under the glare of the sun, the officer is seen cracking an egg in – sunny side up, of course. And the results are a frying success.
