Bad Policy Circumvents Laws That Keep Suspected Terrorists out of US: Former ICE Agent

Border patrol has apprehended 127 illegal immigrant suspected terrorists in fiscal year 2023. NTD spoke to Victor Avila, a retired Special Agent with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, to learn more about the risks this poses.

Avila said that laws to secure the nation from harmful outsiders are in place, but current policies are preventing them from being enforced. He also highlighted his recent trip to Israel during which he toured their borders. In connection with this, he claimed that America has lost the sense of urgency needed to address the risk of terrorism within its borders.
