A senior Tory MP has urged the incoming government to stop buying any technologies linked to the repression of Uyghur Muslims in China and to look at banning the import of all cotton products produced in the Xinjiang region. It comes after the U.N. published an assessment of human rights concerns linked with Xinjiang, which concluded “serious human rights violations have been committed.”
