Energy companies have reportedly force-fitted pre-payment meters in the homes of vulnerable people when they couldn’t keep up with bills. A former magistrate told MPs on March 14 that he was given lists with dozens of applications to force-fit the meters. Ofgem’s chief says the ban on forced prepayment meters will continue beyond March.
