The BBC has set out new social media rules for high-profile presenters. They can express opinions but cannot endorse or attack a political party, criticize the character of individual UK politicians, or take up an official role in campaigning groups. The updated guidelines came after Gary Lineker was at the centre of a social media row for comparing the government’s language on migration policy to 1930s Germany. NTD discussed this with the partner and chairman in the law firm, DMH Stallard.
