Chinese tech giant Tencent made a series of deals with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) to co-produce some of the broadcaster’s flagship programs, including Sir David Attenborough’s Blue Planet II, according to The Daily Telegraph newspaper. Tencent allegedly received money from the Chinese regime’s intelligence agency, and its app WeChat is accused of censoring politically sensitive content.
