Parks and wildlife officials decided to euthanize a stranded whale in New South Wales, Australia. The juvenile humpback whale is one of 30,000 that swims past Australia every year.
It was swimming on the migratory route to warmer waters in northern Australia when it got lost.
Weather conditions have made it impossible for parks and wildlife officials to bring the whale back out to sea.
