Beijing Exploiting Protests Over Reforms to Show Division Within Taiwan: Geopolitical Expert

Thousands of Taiwanese protested outside the island’s parliament on Tuesday over reforms that were passed, which seek to increase government oversight. The party of the president, the Democratic Progressive Party, lost its majority in parliament in the recent election, so the opposition, the Kuomintang, was able to pass the reforms. NTD speaks to Gregory Copley, president of the International Strategic Studies Association, who says communists in Beijing are seeking to exploit the protests to show political division within Taiwan.
